Educational Workshop Series

Educational Workshops

These workshops are designed to engage youth in hands-on educational activities in which they explore, practice, and master existing and newly developed skills and knowledge in civic engagement, civic education, and personal development. It is an opportunity for volunteers to sharpen their skills to help them while working with the 4-H members in their clubs and projects. Volunteers can connect and network with other volunteers and parents.

This year we are restructuring the educational component to make it suit the needs of our clientele. Therefore, we have cut back on our number of workshops and will be offering the same workshops twice each day so that youth and adults who may be in contests in the morning can join us for the afternoon sessions. All workshops will be hosted in Reed Arena this year.

For youth participating, we hope they achieve the following:
  • Youth will gain practical, next-level leadership skills that will give them a heightened sense of responsibility and capacity to connect as active members of their communities, nation, and world.
  • The event is designed to engage youth in hands-on educational activities in which they explore, practice, and master existing and newly developed skills and knowledge in civic engagement, civic education, and personal development.
  • From this experience, we hope youth attending will apply what was learned to make a difference in their communities.
Adult volunteers and parents, we welcome you to join in on the workshops that are being offered. They will provide you with the opportunity to connect with other youth and volunteers from across the state. We hope that you will be able to walk away with ideas to benefit the youth in your clubs.
Below is a look at how we are structuring the workshops for Tuesday-Thursday of Roundup week.
