Internship Opportunity


These paid internship opportunities will primarily be focused on planning, development activities and logistics associated with Texas 4-H Roundup which will be held June 5-8, 2023 in College Station, TX.  The full-time summer internship opportunity will work with Texas 4-H Roundup as well as additional summer events for the Texas 4-H Program. 

The internship will require flexibility, personal initiative, customer service skills and professionalism.

Texas 4-H Roundup Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating Trade Show logistics
  • Working with Contest Superintendents 
  • Organizing activities and hospitality 
  • Assisting with Registration
  • Photography interns will work along side our Texas 4-H Marketing and Communication Specialist, Callie Cline, and focus on photo/video work related to the event

Students interested in Extension, communications, marketing, promotions, and other relevant majors are encouraged to apply.

Previous membership in 4-H is not required but will be asked as part of the application process.

Full-time Summer Intern*: This position would be full-time starting mid-May through August. We can work with you a bit regarding time to return home after college session ends, but due to Texas 4-H Roundup being held June 5-8, we would need you to start as soon as possible after finals. You would help to coordinate and implement summer events and activities. This position would include office work. 
 
Roundup Management Team Intern(s)**: Work directly with the Roundup management team in regards to contest, workshop, trade show, registration and other logistics of the week.  Duties could include coordinating with Contest Superintendents lunch needs, setting up the order with local restaurant, serving as point person for kickoff event, help with winner line up, and other duties as needed.  
Date of position : June 5 – June 8, 2023. This position could include office time prior to Roundup if available.
 
Roundup Photography Intern(s)**: Will work with Texas 4-H staff and be assigned to various contest and events throughout the week to capture high resolution, action shots and video which will be used in future marketing/promotional pieces.
